Piping Designer (2017BRPD5)

Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Piping Designer to join our Baton Rouge team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Possess a basic understanding of the designs for any system within his/her discipline once design guidelines and system criteria have been established.

  • Responsible for the constructibility, operability, and maintainability of the design within his/her discipline for assigned project.

  • Responsible for the development of design configurations associated with the various systems that apply to his/her discipline for assigned project.

  • Provides comprehensive, efficient, and cost effective technical input into design related to his/her discipline for assigned project.

  • Responsible for the preparation of detailed design drawings within his/her discipline, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.

  • Maintains a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during the design for his/her discipline for assigned project.

  • Reviews drawings within his/her discipline for assigned project on a regular basis for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards.

  • Ensures all drawings within his/her discipline for assigned project have been properly checked.

  • Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables. 

  • Assists with Project Audits when required.

  • Possesses an awareness of project schedule and budget.

  • Occasional travel to plant/refinery. 

 

Requirements:

  • 2-10 years experience; Petro-Chemical/Refinery 

  • Experience working with Plant 3D

  • High School Diploma or GED
