Project Engineer (2017HPE2)

Position Location: Houston, TX

 

Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Houston team.

Responsibilities:

  • Capable of managing small projects or supports Project Manager on larger projects.

  • Strives to learn other discipline work processes, and to hone project management skills for use on larger (multi discipline) projects.

  • Demonstrates exemplary communication and organization skills and demonstrates skill set suited for managing projects.

  • Responsible for identifying project staffing requirements.

  • Can develop conceptual and detailed design packages.

  • Supports the Project Manager in communicating project priorities to client and staff.

  • Supports the Project Manager in coordinating the distribution of project data.

  • Ensures the project team follows the Keystone standards and procedures.

  • Responsible for reviewing project transactions and reporting any discrepancies on a weekly basis.

  • Develops project Design Basis and Design Criteria.

  • Prepares detailed work scope.

  • Coordinates with project disciplines and project control to prepare:

    • Work Breakdown Structure

    • Man Hour Estimate

    • Project Schedule

    • Organization Chart

    • List of project deliverables listed in the Master Document Register (MDR)

  • Supports the Project Manager in coordinating the work of all of the project disciplines.

  • Able to speak comfortably in a group setting.

  • Working knowledge of scheduling techniques and software.

  • Identifies business development opportunities.

  • Assists proposal efforts including project scoping, deliverables, and man hour estimates.

  • Begins to understand the basic business drivers of our customers and their markets.

  • Sets and manages customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years experience in Facilities Design (Onshore Upstream / Midstream)

  • B.S. in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution

Preferred:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)

  • Management & supervision experience
