Keystone Engineering is seeking an experienced safety professional for an on-site project assignment at a client location. The position responsibilities include:

  • Review and issue Daily Work Permits in accordance to client protocols.         

  • Verify permit requirements are met by site contractors.

  • Ensures contractors perform designated tasks in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and client safety standards.

  • Ensures all incidents are properly reported and appropriate client personnel are notified as per site protocol.

  • Coordinates Emergency Response measures in accordance with client protocols.

  • Conducts work performance audits on contractors as requested by client.

  • Inspects the worksite to ensure proper housekeeping is conducted.                   

  • Monitors worksite traffic and mobile equipment to ensure client protocols are properly adhered.

  • Verify Safe Work Permits/Confined Space requirements are appropriately adhered. 

  • Regularly audit site contractors to verify proper training and certifications are held and available on request.

  • Ensures site contractors meet all TRA/JSA/JHA Task Requirements, as per client policies.

  • Monitors high risk activities in accordance with client protocols.

  • Provides expertise in recognizing and mitigating hazards that arise from site contractor work activities.

  • Maintains all required records in accordance with client site protocols. 

  • Performs other HSE tasks and duties as directed by client HSE and Project Management personnel.

  • Possesses a full understanding of all of the sections of the Keystone Procedures Manual applicable to the technical discipline assigned to the employee.

  • Continuously practices Quality Control while executing the work.

  • Actively promotes and personally observes all company, client, and regulatory Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) procedures.



  • High School Diploma

  • 10+ years experience; construction, excavation, earth-moving equipment, safety management at multi-employer worksite


  • Associates Degree in Health and Safety Management or other related discipline.

  • OSHA 500, COSS, or other recognized safety credentials

  • ASP/CSP Certification
