Carbon Black Plant Upgrades
Keystone has provided engineering services to a carbon black plant to upgrade their warehouse packing facility. For this maintenance project, Keystone replaced and/or upgraded existing packing machines and replaced portions of the conveyor system. This work was completed in two different locations for the company. Other projects for this plant included a facility-wide UPS Replacement and Utility Upgrades to meet new company-driven standards.
Elementary Neutralization Unit
Keystone developed the Front End Scope package and 15% TIC estimate, then provided detailed engineering and design drafting services for a new containment system to collect and neutralize stormwater runoff. Project included: paving, drainage, curbs and lined ditches; neutralization basin; two pump stations; and piping to divert insufficiently treated flow to product tanks. Work included civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation design.
To facilitate the installation of a new reactor, Keystone provided detailed engineering design for all ancillary equipment, including foundations, structural elements, piping and electrical. Due to the efforts of Keystone's field-oriented design team, the design was installed successfully, despite challenges posed by the age of the facility and lack of space for the installation.
