Project initiated for the detailed design of a geothermal water system in Milford, UT. The system included 3 geothermal wellpads supplying hot brine to organic rankine cycle power plans to produce 400 MW of clean power generation. Produced water is recycled back to the wellpads for reinjection, with a total pumping capacity of 44,000 HP and on-pad makeup water wells. Keystone designed a simplified relief and brine disposal system using rupture discs for overpressure protection, eliminating conventional pressure safety valves and saving the client nearly $1MM in capital costs while meeting API and ASME standards.
