GoM Deepwater FPS - Temporary Work Deck
For this major GoM operator's first floating production system spar operating in the Mississippi Canyon block (120+ miles Southeast of New Orleans, LA), Keystone developed the conceptual and detailed design of the temporary work deck utilized during the installation of the spar. The work deck consisted of a 105’ x 90’ main deck that stabbed into the topside deck hull columns. Part of the design also included a removable center of hull hatch rated for full deck live loads. This work deck provided structural support to allow for mooring lines, flow-lines, and umbilical lines to be pulled.
